Orginially from Ohio, I went to the big city of New York for about 5 years (mainly for school), and now I am working towards my masters at Cambridge in England. I hope this website gives everyone a taste of what my life is like here... and if nothing else I think you will find it fun and entertaining!!

Fairburns

Fairburns is the biggest rowing race of the term... but it is quite different than Clare Sprints.  It is a timed race, so one boat rows at a time and they time you, and you win based on who rows the 2.7 kilometers the fastest.  So we won't actually know how we ranked until later on tonight.  But the important part is that we had a good time and we did our best and we are pink YAAY!!!

Look at our super cool novice shirts!! Heather did a great job of pulling it all together!!

This is my crew... plus Heather and Lex on the right hand side who are our amazing coaches in women's first boat :)

So sad... you can't see our oars in the photo... the black poles near the churchill crest are our oars... but the top part is the pink pretty part.

Me with our cox (Serena)... she bought us jaffa cakes YAAAY... but the other crew ate them all booooooo!!!

Here we are with Greg (our cox from clare sprint's)... we are preparing to throw him into the river Cam hahaha... but we decided not to ;)... although it is a tradition to throw the cox into the river... but its sooo freezing and we have mercy :)

I will let everyone know how we rank as soon as the results are up!!  Anyone else with photos from the race today... please e-mail them to me!!! dmd32 :)

Hugs,

Diana :)
