The Life of Diana

The Queens Erg Rowing Competition was last night... and I am super proud to say that we came in first in our heat and third in our division YAAAY!!! PLUS my personal best time (2.23) I beat by A LOT and I rowed in 2.07 YAAAY!!  Of course I took pictures so that everyone can remember our victory and how much fun it was...

Here is our boat preparing to kick major booty!!! Me, Shoop and Jacqui in the front row... and Winni, Liz, Vanessa, Rachel and Hazel in the back row.

Ok so here is the basic setup of the erg machines before the teams come onto the floor and total chaos takes over with screaming and very loud music.

My team observing exactly what will happen... at which point we all start freaking out AHHHHHHHH!!!

The big screen shows a boat for each team and that way you can tell who is winning and what place you are in... although it was hardly a problem with my team YAAAAY... we were always just loads and loads ahead hehehhe.

Ok this is just too funny... where else in the world (except for MAYBE in a church) would you see a sign that says "Go Jesus"???  hehe they mean Jesus College just in case any of my American friends / family had any doubts.

Team picture with our coaches!!!  ok so the shirts everyone had to wear and we get to keep YAAAY... but it is kind of ummmm weird that they say "ergotistical" on them... it sounds a bit too much like "egotistical" hehehe but then again that is probably the point.

Take two... you know it isn't possible that everyone is looking AND has their eyes open on the first try.

This is the Churchill boy's B boat... hehe although apparently most of their B boat couldn't make it so it had like 2 normal B boat people and the rest are actually C boat people.

That was super fun and I am so proud of my team!!!!  After this we went back to the MCR lounge to watch what was happening with the American elections... and we STILL don't know a final result from that grrrrr.... oh well, time will tell I guess.
