Orginially from Ohio, I went to the big city of New York for about 5 years (mainly for school), and now I am working towards my masters at Cambridge in England. I hope this website gives everyone a taste of what my life is like here... and if nothing else I think you will find it fun and entertaining!!

Hans Blix BAD Lecture

Yesterday was quite an interesting day I suppose. I learned that the sharp pain in my legs by the bone in the front half of my calves was called shin splints (thanks Rachel!!!). They hurt like crazy!!! hehe although jumping jacks have been helping. The exciting news is that I am in the Claire sprints rowing race on Friday YAAAAY!!! So everyone cheer for me :) whether you are here or far away hehe. I went to the lecture by Dr. Hans Blix (the UN chairman for the International Commission on Weapons of Mass Destruction... the guy who was in charge of looking for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq). Basically you could sum up his entire lecture with the simple sentence "I hate America." He was extremely negative, trying to make it seem that America doesn't play by any rules and basically does whatever they want and is a threat to everyone essentially. One of Rachel's favorite moments (where we both looked at each other in anger and had steam going off the top of our heads), was when he started saying that America's army is too large and has too large of a budget compared to other countries. hehe I hope Rachel can handles sitting through his other two lectures today and tomorrow (I am not sure I can or I want to be able to make it). Then we went to Dojo's for dinner, which was yummy and toasty and cozy under the special outdoor heater things. Dojo's is definitely some super yummy chinese food :). So far I have found 3 restaraunts at Cambridge that I am quite fond of... Bangkok Cafe (hahahah), Dojo and Prezzo. Anyway, getting back on topic, then David and I went to the pub called The Anchor to meet up with everyone going to Germany with me. I met a couple really cool people, although not everyone showed up that is going on the trip. This week is super busy with the Audit Feast and Thanksgiving this week... but looking on the bright side, this means there should be some good photos :) ... oh and everyone who is reading this should go sign my guestbook!!!!!!! The link is at the top of the page!! I would love to know who are my loyal readers hehehe.

Hugs,

Diana :)
