Orginially from Ohio, I went to the big city of New York for about 5 years (mainly for school), and now I am working towards my masters at Cambridge in England. I hope this website gives everyone a taste of what my life is like here... and if nothing else I think you will find it fun and entertaining!!

Wife or Manufactured Good?

One more story for today... yesterday I had my second Design and Management of Manufacturing Systems course. And the professor had us do an exercise in groups of two or three since it was a "long" 2 hour class. The exercise was shown both on the overhead and the notes he handed out and specifically said the following:

Pick 2 products, one service and one manufactured good, and define product features according to the Kano model:
- "Must be"
-"More is better"
- "Delighter"
- "Reversal"

So my partner and I selected a car as our product and a flight as our service. The guys behind us selected a cup of coffee as their product and being served a meal at a restaraunt as their service. Then a group picked a wife as their product.... now can you tell me how a wife is a manufactured good??? They said their wife:
- Must be born a female (haha it was quite hilarious how they said it)
- More is better would be different body parts depending on taste (how tasteful!!)
- Delighter would be if she had a big house.
- Reversal would be bad habits or if she has lots of nose hair.

It was quite funny... but as one of the only 2 girls in the class it definitely made us feel really weird. Hope you find it funny and awful all at the same time.

Kisses!!
