The Life of Diana

Tonight we opted to skip super hall at Churchill and to go to Pizza Express with everyone instead.  Good times were had by all I think... hehe but the fun twist on the story comes from Vanessa's story.  John (some mcr fresher from Tattyana's lab) had signed up for an extra person at his formal hall dinner tonight at Magdalene College, and he had already paid for it, but had no date!! So rather than wasting the dinner, he asked Tattyana to find him a date.  Soooo basically Tattyana ended up looking everywhere to find someone and was finally prepared to go herself, but in the end as the group of 20 or so of us were on the way to Pizza Express convinced Vanessa or Rachel to go.  Vanessa and Rachel played "rock, paper, scissors" and Vanessa lost, so Vanessa was going to formal hall with John (hehe who she had never met).  Then on top of it all, Vanessa was dressed for Pizza Express, not formal hall... so Tattyana and Vanessa traded clothes for the night in the bathroom at a bar hehehehe.  Now the story begins and lets see how it progresses throughout the night...

We had such a big huge group of people that they didn't even have a big enough table... so we had a huuuuge long rectangle with two circular tables on both ends. Ohhh and it was a really pretty restaurant, even though it is called Pizza Express (hehe I was totally expecting something like Pizza Hut).  Even the yellow roses were real and smelled beautiful!!

Rachel... next time we are sitting next to each other!!! Check out her super cute watch... it has two faces, so one has the time here in Cambridge and one shows the time in the U.S.

hehe Colin seems quite disturbed.... perhaps the flash is waaaay too bright for him?

Take two... everyone is looking very composed... and look how colorful Tattyana, Colin and Shoop all are!!

We discovered that with such a huge group of people, the best way to get everyone's attention is to take a picture and the flash gets their attention... and THEN to take the real photo.... so I think this is one of the photos used to get everyone's attention... hehe although it is a great shot of the back of Joannah's head and Paul's face.

The other side of the table... hehe depending on where you sit, it seems like you are either in tons of pictures or almost none... I will have to try to get better at taking lots of everyone!!

Paul taking out money... why does money run out soooo fast here???

Paul... from now on you must remember to check in the closets in the other room for glasses... I mean come on, drinking gin and tonic from the plastic container is clearly not posh enough for Magdalene.  We all headed to Magdalene's MCR to save Vanessa... but it turned out she didnt need saving at all... John was a uber cool guy!!

Paul is trying to force Rachel to finish his drink... but come on Paul... after you stick your tongue in the bottle and make out with it, nobody wants to drink your alchy!!  Paul was trying to demonstrate how some girl was hitting on him by drinking her bottle of water seductively... hehe I guess you had to be there.

Me "casually" trying to get a picture of Vanessa and John... but it was just too hard and dark to do it without forcing them to pose.

Rachel is in a horrible shock at this point hehe!!

Tattyana has come back to get the keycard for her lab from John and to trade back clothes with Vanessa.

So Rachel, Paul and I left and had a wonderful time talking in Rachel's kitchen... and Vanessa is missing in action hehe.  I hope wherever you are Vanessa, you are having an awesome time, and you HAVE to tell us EVERYTHING tomorrow!!!!
