Orginially from Ohio, I went to the big city of New York for about 5 years (mainly for school), and now I am working towards my masters at Cambridge in England. I hope this website gives everyone a taste of what my life is like here... and if nothing else I think you will find it fun and entertaining!!

Ok so a better update on my Cambridge life this past weekend... I have been crazy busy and hence the slow down in updates. I went rowing on Saturday and Sunday... and I LOVE it!!! It is so much fun. I rowed 7 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. The scariest part is the bike ride.... I HATE biking hehe. But I get a ton of exercise here. 20 minutes of biking and 1.5 - 2 hours of rowing on saturday and sunday. And at least 1.5 hours of walking to and from engineering every day.
Saturday I went rowing and biked back here as fast I could to get ready for formal hall at Pembroke. I ended up having only 20 minutes to get ready. So I rushed super fast and got ready. The dinner at Pembroke was better than at Churchill... though our dessert here was better. They had a coffee orange gateaux which tasted like a whole grain wheat cake or something yucky! They had a good minestrone soup though... although the veggie main entree tasted like they just took the soup and cooked down the broth hehe. We met a guy that looks just like Prince William which was cool hehe. Oh and I met my first guy from Scotland, wearing a kilt and everything (he was soooo cool)!! I will get pics up soon.
Lucy and I went to staircase P for a party with free drinks... hehe and when we went inside it felt like freshman year again, horrible deja-vu. So we left right away. Then we met up with Lucy's friend from Boston (who by the way went to Harvard for her undergraduate degree and likes cambridge much better because it is so much more fun here!!!), and we went to Rat and Parrot. Lucy got an amazingly yummy drink that tasted a lot like a milk shake hehe. There was some creepy guy standing there all alone checking us out... but we left YAAY. Then we went to the Queen's Bop which was really slow at first, but lots of people came later (after staircase P)... and it was good times. Then we went back home to sleeeep.
Sunday I woke up again to go rowing. But this time when I got back I mainly tried to rest cuz I was exhausted!!! Now plans for this week..... well tomorrow I am going to Swing Dancing, then Wednesday I have the Advanced Students Dinner, Thursday Queens Formal Hall and Friday I am still planning. I am also going to Christ's and Magdalene's Formal Hall over the next few weeks!!! I love seeing all the different colleges. I will keep the pictures coming, and try to keep everyone up to date as much as possible!!
Cheers!!
