Orginially from Ohio, I went to the big city of New York for about 5 years (mainly for school), and now I am working towards my masters at Cambridge in England. I hope this website gives everyone a taste of what my life is like here... and if nothing else I think you will find it fun and entertaining!!

Apple Festival
Ok so now I have to catch up since I am falling behind due to that Internet outage... hehe the Internet better be more reliable throughout the year!! So yesterday (Sunday)... there was nothing to do... we were in a state of shock and horror... what do people do when the Internet is down?? How do you contact or communicate with people??? WOW I can't believe there used to be a time before the Internet. So Tattyana came up with the brilliant idea that we can go around and knock and people's doors to communicate with them hehe. So we went around trying to collect people to go to the apple festival at the botanical gardens... but it turns out we only knew where Paul, Alex, Shoop and Johanna live (the rest of you should tell us for the next time the Internet dies!!!). So in the end, Paul and Tattyana and I decided to head off to the apple festival. Somehow they even convinced me to bike there. It was soooo much fun... we tasted a gazillion types of apples, and now I don't think I want another apple for years!!! hehe actually maybe just a week. My favorite apple was the Falstaff apple... "Crisp and fruity. Pretty red flush and stripes"... although I also really liked the Pixie apple... "A small dessert apple. Richly aromatic, sweet, yet refreshing. Flesh is firm, crisp and juicy"... seeeee now don't you all wish you had come? Best part of the though was definitely getting to know Tattyana better... she is uber cool and gives awesome advice!!! I love the people in my house YAAY!!! Ok so enough of my talking... lets get to the few pictures I took at the apple fest...
Check out all the types of apples... who ever knew so many different types existed??
Tattyana and Paul contemplating apple flavors.... hmmm does this one have a strawberry undertone Paul??? Or is that the one that is good with cheese hahaha??? They gave us a sheet telling us about each apple... and I did not realize they were reading the sheet as they tasted the apples, so I thought Paul actually could taste an apple and determine it had strawberry undertones or would go with cheese hehehehe.
Here is a very bad picture that shows the botanical gardens overall... this is the water gardens section... I can't wait for it to get warmer and for pretty flowers to be in bloom... we will DEFINITELY have to revisit then!!
I hope all of you had an awesome weekend... and don't forget about the super fun Halloween party this Friday... I hope (and expect!!!) to see all of you there!!
Hugs!!!
